تبلغ قيمة جائزة مهرجان الجونة السينمائي 5000 دولار أمريكي، إضافةً إلى دعوة فريق الفيلم للمشاركة في الدورة الثامنة من سيني جونة لدعم الأفلام، والتي ستقام على هامش مهرجان الجونة السينمائي خلال الفترة من 16 إلى 24 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2025.
وفي تعليقها على هذه المشاركة، قالت ماريان خوري، المديرة الفنية لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي:"يسعدنا اختيار هذا الفيلم الوثائقي الإبداعي الأصيل من اليمن ضمن مشروعات سيني جونة لدعم الأفلام. يقدم الفيلم قصة مؤثرة عن رحلة نضوج أربعة إخوة في زمن الحرب، ويجسد بجمال لافت تفاصيل الحياة اليومية بما تحمله من صراعات وتناقضات وأمل."

تأسست منصة سيني جونة لدعم الأفلام عام 2017 لتصبح محطة محورية في صناعة السينما بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، حيث توفر دعماً إبداعياً ومالياً أساسياً للمخرجين والمنتجين العرب. تستفيد سنوياً مجموعة من مشروعات الأفلام الروائية الطويلة قيد التطوير، إضافة إلى الأفلام في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج، من جلسات استشارية وتدريبية، إلى جانب فرص الحصول على جوائز نقدية وعينية. وإلى جانب الدعم المالي، تقدم المبادرة إشرافاً منظماً واستشارات فردية متخصصة.
في دورتها السابعة (2024)، استقبلت المنصة أكثر من 240 مشروعاً، جرى اختيار 21 مشروعاً منها للمشاركة. تضمنت الدورة ثلاثة أيام من عروض تقديم المشروعات، و147 اجتماعاً فردياً، ووزعت خلالها 41 جائزة بقيمة إجمالية قاربت 400 ألف دولار أمريكي، بدعم من مهرجان الجونة السينمائي و30 شريكاً وراعياً من صناعة السينما في المنطقة.

يُعنى برنامج فاينال كت فينيسيا بدعم الأفلام في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج من جميع الدول الإفريقية، ومن ست دول في الشرق الأوسط: العراق، والأردن، ولبنان، وفلسطين، وسوريا، واليمن. ويهدف إلى تعزيز دور مهرجان البندقية السينمائي الدولي كجسر للتواصل وداعم رئيسي لإنتاج الأفلام المستقلة عالية الجودة القادمة من إفريقيا والعالم العربي، عبر توفير دعم ملموس لعمليات الإنتاج السينمائي وتعزيز قدرة هذه الأعمال السمعية البصرية على المنافسة في الأسواق الدولية.

El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) is proud to announce the recipient of the GFF Award at the Final Cut in Venice program, held as part of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. The program is dedicated to supporting Arab and African film projects in the post-production stage.
This year’s winning film is “Let’s Play Soldiers” by Yemeni filmmaker Mariam Al-Dhubhani. The GFF Award includes a cash prize of 5,000 US dollars, in addition to an invitation for the film’s team to participate in the eighth edition of the CineGouna Platform, taking place during the El Gouna Film Festival from October 16 to 24, 2025.
Marianne Khoury, Artistic Director of El Gouna Film Festival added: “We are delighted to have selected this authentic Yemeni creative documentary for CineGouna funding. The film presents a powerful coming-of-age story of four brothers living through the realities of war, capturing with striking beauty the everyday moments of conflict, contradiction, and hope.”

Established in 2017, CineGouna Funding is a pivotal industry platform in the MENA region, providing essential creative and financial support for Arab film directors and producers. Each year, a selection of feature film projects in development and films in post-production benefit from consultancy, training sessions, and the opportunity to receive cash and in-kind awards. Beyond financial aid, the initiative provides structured mentorship and individualized consultations. In its 7th edition (GFF 2024) CineGouna Funding received over 240 project submissions, selecting 21 for participation. The edition featured three days of project pitching, facilitated 147 one-on-one meetings, and distributed 41 awards totaling approximately US $400,000 in value, supported by El Gouna Film Festival and 30 regional film industry sponsors and partners.
About Final Cut Program:
A program to support films in post-production from all African countries and six countries in the Middle East: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen. The goal of the project is to enhance the role of the Venice International Film Festival as a bridge builder supporting the production of independent quality films coming from Africa and Arab countries; providing concrete help to film production, and promoting the competitiveness of their audiovisual products on the international market.
